Personal Support

Personal Support is Needed
Personal support is needed when an individual requires extra help with living independently. This encompasses activities that involve functioning effectively within the community and managing one’s daily life. This support allows you to continue living an enjoyable lifestyle within the comfort of your own home. This type of support includes tasks associated with IADLs (instrumental activities of daily living), such as taking medication, cooking, housekeeping, shopping, responding to emergencies
etc.

Short Term Recovery Support
Short-term recovery support is designed for individuals recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. During this period, individuals may be temporarily unable to manage their personal care independently. Our PSWs (Personal Support Workers) offer help with daily living tasks and encourage the development of confidence and skills so individuals can regain independence and resume their normal routines.

Personal Support is Helpful
Personal support helps you or your loved one manage their day-to-day routines while remaining in the comfort of their own home. This includes assistance with your ADLs (activities of daily living) and includes bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility and transferring, toileting, and skin care. Support may also cover feeding and psychological support. Our PSWs can assist with simple wound care, and other tasks, while promoting dignity and independence.
